An update: The Semi-Final


The long awaited Sing-Off is finally here!  The semi finals took place earlier today and EVERYONE did themselves proud.  Each child in 5M took part and gave it their all.  The groups were judged by Miss Easy, Miss Anderson and Mrs Smith.  Believe me, they didn't have an easy job.  They awarded marks out of ten for singing ability, performance and working as a group.  Two performances were chosen to go through to the final.  Check back for the results.

Well last half term, before Christmas some of had the brilliant idea to turn this into a song about our topic, The Space Race.  We entered a talent show and the rest, as they say, is history!

Here's our version...




So, as a result of this idea, our teacher, Miss McIntosh, and year 6 teacher, Miss Watkins, (she teaches 6W - Check out their blog at 6wbonneville.blogspot.com) had the frankly brilliant idea of getting us all to have a Sing Off!

So, they launched it by singing their own version of Happy by Pharrell.  Do you know it?

    i really enjoy singing and now i have a millon song ideas in my head THANK YOU!!!!!!! Miss Mcintosh i really think that the idea of a sing off was the best thing that has ever happend to me because in stead of me singing in the shower or to myself i can simg to everyone else

    I love the fact that we are doing the sing off because it is much better than learning about beats and bars which is what we do every time. The sing off has really changed my attitude to music.
